1.9.19: 2019 State of the State speech, given by Governor Cuomo
1.14/15.19: Session begins
01.21.19: MLK Jr. Day. State offices are closed.
mid-January: Governor submits Executive Budget
late January/February: Budget hearings
February: Black History Month
2.12.19: Lincoln’s Birthday
2.15-18.19: Black Puerto Rican, Hispanic and Asian Legislative Caucus
2.18.19: Washington’s Birthday. State offices are closed.
mid-February: Amendments to Executive Budget
2.19-23.19: Session break. Legislators will be in their districts.
February or early March: One House budgets announced.
March: Women’s History Month
March: Somos
4.1.19: Deadline for final State Budget.
April 2 – mid-June: Legislative session.

2019 Coalition Timeline
This is the timeline that Let NY Vote suggested for their own outreach efforts.
December and January: Push for first reforms with petitions, fundraising (house parties, auctions, online requests), in-district meetings, letters to the editor, calls/emails/postcards, rallies, town halls and forums.
February and March: In-district meetings with legislators. Community outreach, phone calls and letters, continued press outreach.
April-June: push for broader coalition reforms.
